Its environmental and social value is significant, creating a natural lung in the town of Racedo. 12,500 poplars and 12,500 pines (elliotti and taeda) were planted on a 34-hectare site, the destination of treated and purified water from the effluents of the Calisa processing plant.
Per day and per hectare 180,000 liters of oxygen are released, which is the amount necessary for 200 people. If you consider the 30 ha. per day, they are 5,400,000 l. oxygen, necessary for 6000 people. The consumption of treated water, in full production process, foresees to reuse 2,034,000 liters of water per day.
